Course Objectives
-Understand the indications for ERCP
-Review the anatomy of the biliary system
-Discuss lab values and imaging studies used to determine the need for ERPC

-Explain the pathophysiology of severe emphysema and the rationale for endobronchial valve therapy.
- Outline the criteria for patient selection and the procedural steps involved in endobronchial valve
placement
- Discuss potential complications following valve placement and the strategies for monitoring and management
-Discuss the process in choosing treatment options for colon cancer
-Review staging of colon cancer
-Discuss the treatment options for IBD
-Describe the pathophysiology for EOE
-Review current treatment options for Eosinophilic Esophagitis
-Discuss the use of complementary and Alternative medicine
-Review the benefits of cognitive behavioral therapy and diet in the management of IBD
-Review techniques for removing foreign bodies
-Describe risk related to foreign body removal
-Describe what is a GI Bleed
-Learn common locations of GI bleeds

CNE Information
This seminar has been designed to meet the specification of the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act of Continuing
Education requirement. This educational activity has been applied for with the Georgia Nurses Association
Approver, an accredited approver by American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. For
XX CNE (XX on Saturday and on XX Sunday) and XXGI specific (XXSat and XX Sun) specific ABCGN, for
those attending both Sat and Sun. Attendees will be required to complete an online post evaluation and
demonstrate learning. Must be present for the entire day to receive CNE for that day, no partial credit.

We will again be having prize drawings throughout the day. Departments wishing to contribute a basket or other
items as a door prize are encouraged to do so, please label them, and bring them to the registration table.
